A FAMILY LEGACY OF HARD WORK, DEDICATION AND CONNECTION TO THE LAND
Browns of Padthaway was founded by fourth-generation Yorke Peninsula farmer Donald Brown and his wife Glenda Brown in 1959, with its first vines planted in 1970. Glendon Park is the continuing story of Browns of Padthaway and testament to the dedication of the Brown family. A story of love for the region’s terroir and the quality of its wine.
The current Glendon Park labels feature an original artwork of the Fire Orchid. Native to Padthaway, Fire Orchids depend upon fire to flower yet can survive extended periods without flowering—a symbol of beauty, determination and resilience.
The rare Australian native Fire Orchid (Pyrorchis nigricans)is symbolic of Glendon Park and our determination. An artistic interpretation of it adorns our labels.
