2015 Glendon Park Vintage Sparkling Riesling

Riesling is not one of the 3 classic Champagne grape varieties, but there is plenty of sparkling wine made from this beautifully aromatic, high-acidity variety just across the border, in Germany. And as Riesling does so well in our part of the world, it is a logical choice for our premium ‘sparkler’.

After the best part of a decade, our 2015 still shows that hallmark acidity, but has also developed powerful ‘mature wine’ notes. It is fine yet complex, with distinctive aged characters of toast and honey, complemented by subtle yeastiness. Its fine bead and vibrant acidity support the toasty depth on the palate, and it finishes clean and long.

A full-flavoured but finely structured sparkling which screams ‘drink me’, as its age and stage of development make it a particularly interesting and unique wine.

Sparkling wines are always the best choice for a celebration, and the depth of flavour of this wine means that it will complement some tasty finger foods… we suggest smoked salmon blinis or savoury cheese bites; even some crispy dukkha prawns.
